Asset, material and workforce tracking software
Three applications on one platform. InVault tracks equipment, tools and other things of value, InFlow follows materials, WIP and shipments, and InStep looks after the people on your floor. Pick the use case closest to your problem: each page covers the outcome, the workflows, the technology and the proof.
The products
Assets, materials and people, each with its own application.
InVault
Asset tracking
Things of value: protected, tracked.
Capital assets and equipment, plant tools and MHE, returnable items, documents and textbooks.

InFlow
Material and WIP tracking
Materials in motion: traced, timed.
Goods and consumables, parts and raw materials, shipments and milk runs, jobs and travelers.

InStep
Workforce RTLS and safety
People at work: present, productive, safe.
Employees, temp workers and visitors. Presence, safety and productivity, with privacy by design.

All use cases
Find the use case closest to your problem.
These are the use cases we deliver most often. Many projects combine two or three, and the same platform handles plenty of variations.
InVault
Asset intelligence — things of value, protected and tracked.
Capital assets & equipment
Lab instruments, IT and data-center hardware, fixed assets and voting equipment: found in seconds, audited in minutes.
Plant tools & MHE
MRO tools, tool cribs, calibrated instruments, forklifts, AGVs and yard vehicles: issued, located and accounted for.
Returnable items
Pallets, totes, racks, IBCs, dunnage and rental equipment: shipped complete, tracked while away and recovered.
Documents & textbooks
Sensitive files, evidence, election materials and textbooks, with chain of custody and audits measured in days, not weeks.
InFlow
Material intelligence — materials in motion, traced and timed.
Goods & consumables
Finished goods, kanban and MRO consumables, lab supplies and consigned stock, counted without walking the aisles.
Parts & raw materials
Chemicals, components, drums, rolls and heavy parts: received, issued and traced to the lot, around the clock.
Shipments & milk runs
Outbound loads verified box by box, inbound packages delivered to the right desk, and milk runs tracked loop by loop.
Jobs & travelers
Jobs, travelers, job bins and line-side carts followed station to station, with dwell-time alerts before schedules slip.
InStep
Workforce intelligence — people at work, present, productive and safe.
Employees
Operators, lab technicians, pickers and hospital staff: presence, mustering and safety zones, with productivity measured in aggregate.
Temp workers
Contractors, vendors and seasonal staff: onboarded, escorted, verified at exit and paid on counts both sides can see.
Visitors
Visitors, auditors, inspectors, observers and press: pre-registered, geofenced, time-bounded and checked out automatically.
How projects run
Diagnose, pilot, roll out.
Most projects follow the same path. The pilot takes weeks, not quarters, and it is measured against numbers you agree with us before anything is installed.
- InThing and partnerDiagnoseA call, then usually a site walk or virtual assessment. We look at the problem behind the request, the things you need to track, the building and your systems of record, and recommend a technology per asset class, material flow or role.
- EveryonePilot in weeksOne room, dock door, line or entrance runs for a few weeks on the hardware you would buy for the rollout. Trapeze runs on a single server for a pilot. You compare the results with the baseline and decide.
- InThing and partnerRoll outMore sites, more asset classes or roles, integration with your ERP, WMS, MES, EAM or HR systems through EAI-Bridge, and training for the people who use it.
- InThingSupport24/7 support for global customers and mission-critical operations, plus software updates and a team that knows your configuration.
Who does what
Three parties, clear responsibilities.
InThing
The software: Trapeze, Visium and the InVault, InFlow and InStep applications. Configuration, rules, reports, integration through EAI-Bridge, training and support.
Hardware and channel partner
Readers, antennas, tags, labels, printers and handhelds from vendors such as Zebra, HID and Impinj, plus site survey and installation. Many customers buy the whole solution through a partner; Philadelphia’s project ran with CDW and Zebra, Continental Floral Greens’ with Redline Solutions.
Your team
A process owner who knows the problem, IT access to the systems of record, decisions on zones, rules and privacy, and the people who run the pilot day to day.
Licensing and support
The commercial side, in plain words.
We quote per project, so you won’t find prices here. This is how it works.
- Licensing
- Subscription, with readers and handhelds licensed individually, so the cost grows with what you actually run.
- Where it runs
- In the cloud, on your own servers or hybrid. Each customer gets its own Visium instance, and isolated networks can run with an offline licence file.
- Hardware
- Industry-standard readers, tags and handhelds, usually supplied and installed by a partner. If you already own compatible handhelds, we start with those.
- Support
- 24/7 support for global customers and mission-critical operations.
- Security
- SOC 2 Type 1 report (2023), available on request.
Not sure where to start?
Tell us the problem. We’ll suggest the use case.
Thirty minutes is usually enough to say which product fits, which technology makes sense and what a pilot should measure.
