EAI-Bridge · Platform Tools

Your existing systems get smarter. Nothing gets ripped out.

EAI-Bridge takes the events Trapeze detects on your floor and posts them into the enterprise systems that already run your business. One sensor infrastructure can feed SAP, a WMS and a maintenance system at the same time, without anyone re-keying a thing.

How events flow

From a tag read to a posted transaction.

  1. Trapeze detects the eventA receipt, a movement, a check-out, an audit result or an exception, already filtered and given business meaning.
  2. EAI-Bridge enriches itItem, location, kit, order and user data from Visium is added, and transformation scripts map it to each target’s format.
  3. It is routed and deliveredThe same event can go to several systems at once: a goods movement to SAP, a status to the WMS, a work order to Maximo.
  4. Delivery is confirmedIf a target system is down, events are stored and sent again when it is back, so nothing is lost on the way.

RFID SAP integration

SAP that keeps up with the shelf.

Most of our ERP integrations are with SAP. The goal is simple: every physical movement becomes a posting, within seconds, without a person scanning a barcode and typing a quantity.

At Cepheid, scientists in 18 R&D labs take raw materials from RFID-controlled storage at any hour. Each withdrawal (who, what, when, how much) reaches SAP automatically, which removed about 10,000 material transfer forms a year.

In another deployment, production carts are scanned with handheld readers at each manufacturing step and the results are posted to SAP. In a customer reference, an RFID read became a processed event in SAP in about 1.5 seconds.

Materials
Goods receipts, goods issues and stock transfers from RFID and barcode events
Warehouse
Shipments checked against orders in the WMS or EWM before they leave
Assets
Locations, audit results and calibration status written to equipment records
Speed
About 1.5 s from read to posting in a customer deployment

Integration targets

Built for the systems you already run.

SAP is the most common, but by no means the only one. These are the systems our customers and partners connect to.

ERP

SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor and custom ERPs: receipts, issues, consumption and inventory.

Warehouse and production

WMS, MES and IWMS: putaway, picks, WIP status and space use.

Assets and service

IBM Maximo and ServiceNow: asset locations, audits, maintenance and IT asset records.

Process automation

Appian and other workflow platforms: start a process when a sensor event happens.

People systems

HRIS, time and attendance, access control and EHS systems for InStep presence and mustering data.

Data and identity

Power BI for reporting, SSO and LDAP for users, and the Visium REST API and webhooks for everything else.

Connector types

Fault-tolerant integration across business units.

EAI-Bridge was designed for fault-tolerant integrations from the start, so a single sensor infrastructure can serve many business units and departments at once.

When a customer’s own operational system is the master, the Visium API works in the other direction too. At Inhabitr, the company’s system creates customers and work orders through the API, and dock-door audits run against them.

Protocols
REST, SOAP, MQTT, message queues and file exchange
Mapping
Transformation scripts per target, so no change is needed in the ERP
Routing
One event delivered to several systems concurrently
Resilience
Store-and-forward and automatic retries
Open API
Visium REST API and webhooks for custom and in-house systems

License Management Platform

Licensing and tenants.

The tools that set up and license each customer environment. A fuller description will follow here.

Tenants
Each customer gets its own Visium instance
Licences
Device and feature licences, activated online
Isolated networks
Offline activation with a signed licence file
